Itinerary

Your luxury Washington Odyssey Lunch Cruise promises wonderful views and a delightful and memorable experience. There is no hotel pick-up for the tour. To join your ship you should make your way to Pier 4 at 6th & Water Streets SW. Directions for reaching the start point are given in Additional Information.

To receive your boarding pass for the Odyssey III please present your voucher and photo ID at the activity operator’s ticket kiosk at Pier 4. Boarding begins 45 minutes prior to cruise departure time.

As you are boarding, the ship's photographer records the moment for your entire party and the photo will be available for purchase afterwards.

The Captain and crew greet you as you step onto the ship. Once in the dining room, a hostess will greet you and escort you to your private table where your wait staff will introduce themselves.

From each of her three climate-controlled glass-atrium dining rooms to the outside deck, Odyssey III offers a delightful setting that begs to be explored. The exquisitely renovated interiors and enticing dance floors capture a distinctive atmosphere reminiscent of the classic ocean liners. Be sure to visit the Captain's bridge, open to all passengers throughout most of the cruise.

During your trip you will enjoy a sumptuous three-course gourmet lunch freshly prepared on board. Menus are liable to change but the sample menu below gives you an idea of the fare on offer.

Menu items are subject to change.

Drinks are not included with your ticket but can be purchased at the bar or from the excellent wine list.

Enjoy your meal to an accompaniment of live music – everything from classic jazz to contemporary favorites; from a five-piece band to soft piano music – that won't end until well after the ship returns to the dock. And, if the music makes you want to get up and dance, there are spacious dance floors available!

The only vessel designed specifically to travel beneath the historic bridges spanning the Potomac, Odyssey offers exclusive river views of the nation's greatest monuments from every dining table. At times when wind and tide conditions prevent navigation to the Kennedy Center and Georgetown, an alternate route south on the Potomac and past historical Old Town Alexandria will be taken.

Below are some of the key landmarks on your route:

Jefferson Memorial: A beautiful columned rotunda, this memorial honors the nation's third president, brilliant statesman, author of the Declaration of Independence and founder of the University of Virginia.

Lincoln Memorial: Built to honor assassinated President Abraham Lincoln, the memorial has 36 Doric columns, one for each state at the time of Lincoln's death.

Washington Monument: Standing 555 feet, the gleaming marble obelisk, known as the Washington Monument, is the city's most visible landmark and the tallest freestanding masonry structure in the world.

Watergate Hotel: Home to the now infamous Scandal in which former CIA employees were caught trying to bug the offices of the Democratic National Committee. Ultimately the scandal forced the resignation of President Richard Nixon in 1974. Now it is home to a luxury hotel and residential apartments.

Your delightful cruise lasts for 2 hours and ends at around 02:00pm, when you will be dropped back at the starting point.
