Here’s the deal, you’re in the busy Dotonburi district, and it’s packed, so where should you go? Well, that answer is all taken care of in the hands of your local guide. You’re not visiting the usual haunts. Oh no, this time you’re going to the places the tourists don’t. Welcome to your food tour of Osaka.
With your guide on hand to point out all the places, you know you are going to be in good hands. You’ll start in the bright and busy Dotonburi area. That’s where you’ll find Glico man and the giant crab! This street is full of overly-commercialised restaurants, do look but these aren’t the places you’re visiting. You are going local! You will sample some of Osaka’s favourite foods. Kushikatsu (deep fried meat with veggie skewers), Takoyaki (grilled octopus). Then you’ll travel down the narrow alleys, spot a bar or two. Where more culinary delights are to be had. Sukiyaki (simmering beef hotpot) and tempura to name two.
Your tour doesn’t end there! There's more fun to be had. You’ll also be shown a famous building full of hidden unorthodox bars. We’re talking lots of them! So that once your guide had said farewell. Well, you can continue the adventure. Pick one and embrace.

We recommend wearing comfortable shoes for walking. On rainy days, please bring an umbrella.
If you have dietary issues or allergies (e.g., nuts, shellfish, gluten), mention them in the Special Requests section when booking. You can also call or email us. Please book and specify your needs well in advance, as last-minute changes may not be possible
For Vegetarians: Some of the dishes contain dashi, a soup stock made from kelp and bonito, which is essential in Japanese cuisine. If you cannot consume dashi, we may not be able to fully accommodate your dietary needs. Please also inform us if you can eat eggs and dairy product.
If dashi is not suitable for you, we recommend booking a private tour where we can offer some alternatives. However, completely avoiding fish stock may still be challenging
