    SWAMPS AND BAYOUS OF SOUTHERN LOUISIANA

    Explore the swamps and bayous of the Barataria Preserve in a custom-built, all-weather swamp boat as you travel through a part of the Jean Lafitte National Historical Park.

    A local Cajun guide will accompany you on this boat trip into the swamps and point out the nesting grounds of alligators, raccoons, egrets and species of snakes. Some wildlife is more numerous during the warmer months of the year. Learn why our wetlands are disappearing due to coastal erosion as well as man's efforts to correct the damage it has done and restore this vital habitat.

    Swamps and bayous of Southern Louisiana: The tour departs from the Gray Line “Lighthouse” Ticket Office located at Toulouse Street and the Mississippi River (at the Steamboat Natchez Dock), only one block from Jackson Square in the French Quarter.

    NEW ORLEANS HOP-ON, HOP-OFF TOUR

    Our local partners do everything in their power to ensure the tours runs to schedule.  However, New Orleans is a functioning city and weather, traffic and events may occasionally cause disruption.

    We want everyone to be a part of our tours and hence there are special arrangements for those mobility problems.

    Your voucher will be valid for 3 months from the date chosen at the time of booking.

    The Lafayette Cemetery walking tour departs from Stop 12 in the Garden District. Collect your self-guided walking tour map from the bus staff.
    The Garden District tour (available only with 3-day ticket) departs daily from Stop 12 at 11am, 12 noon, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.
    French Quarter walking tour (available only with 3-day ticket) departs daily from Stop 1 at 11am, 12 noon, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.

    SWAMPS AND BAYOUS OF SOUTHERN LOUISIANA

    The confirmation voucher includes the local activity operator’s contact details. They’re a nice bunch, and will happily answer any logistical questions you may have. Please give them a call at least 24 hours before your organised activity to reconfirm.
