Overview

Enjoy a fascinating introduction to some of the majestic & mysterious prehistoric monuments that are part of the 'Stonehenge, Avebury & Associated Sites' designated UNESCO World Heritage site.

Visit the mysterious village of Avebury which is ringed by the largest stone circle in the world! A small village with lesser-known Neolithic stone circles situated close to Stonehenge, you will have free time to explore the stone circles and the village, including the supposedly haunted Red Lion Pub.

Visit West Kennet Long Barrow, a large Neolithic burial tomb and over 5000 years old, and Silbury Hill, the tallest prehistoric man-made mound in Europe which continues to perplex researchers to this day.

One of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Stonehenge is believed to have been built between 3000 and 2000 BC and continues to confound experts through the ages. Walk around the mystifying circular formation of tall, standing stones. Experts still debate whether these were intended as an observatory of the moon, a temple to the sun, or an elaborate cemetery. The prehistoric stone circle and its surroundings having recently been restored back to its original, unaltered landscape. You can enjoy informative audio guide (subject to availability).
