Itinerary

To join your exciting Simply Paris – Guided Day Tour From London you should make your way to St. Pancras International station. Here you’ll receive an informative welcome pack in exchange for your voucher.

Your Paris day trip then kicks off in style with a ride on the world-famous Eurostar™. The 2hr 15 min journey to Paris passes through 31 miles of Channel Tunnel!

On arrival in Paris, a guide will meet you at Gare du Nord Station and escort you to a coach or mini bus depending on numbers. You will then be taken on a 2 hour 15 minute panoramic tour that includes such Parisian gems as Arc de Triomphe, Champs Élysées, Grand Palais, the stately Opéra Garnier and the Place de la Concorde.

As you admire the highlights of Paris you can listen to an informative and entertaining audio-commentary in nine languages (French, English, German, Japanese, Italian, Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish).

Your tour also takes in the Eiffel Tower, the tallest structure in town and as symbolic of Paris as warm croissants and pavement cafés. Ascend to the second floor and see the great ‘City of Light’ spread out below you. Designed by Gustave Eiffel, the iron lattice tower was erected in 1889 as the entrance arch to the 1889 World’s Fair.

You will also visit another Parisian icon, the magnificent Louvre, originally a royal palace but now the world’s most famous museum and a treasure trove of priceless art. Here you can pay your respects to great works like the Mona Lisa and the Venus of Milo.

On Tuesday the Louvre is closed and you will be given a ticket to Musée d’Orsay, home to the largest collection of Impressionist paintings in the world.

You’ll have the chance to get another perspective on Paris and its magnificent monuments when you enjoy an hour-long Seine cruise. Expect marvelous views of Notre Dame and the historic bridges of Paris. An audio- guide in 13 languages is provided.

After a thrilling day spent discovering Paris, your guide will escort you back to the Gare du Nord where your departure time is 2013h (8:13pm).
