Oxford

Begin the day with a guided walking tour of the Oxford Town, home to one of the world’s greatest and oldest universities, where famous scholars such as C.S Lewis, Bill Clinton and Lewis Carroll once studied! Walk along the ivy-clad stone walls that protect beautiful chapels, halls and libraries and marvel at the architectural grandeur of the university. Bampton

Proceed to the picturesque village of Bampton that served as an idyllic rural setting for many scenes of the Downton Abbey series. Admire the British countryside views and pass by identifiable sights like the Church, Mathew Crawley's mother's house, the hospital and more.

Highclere Castle

Visit another prominent location made famous by the Downton Abbey TV series – the Highclere Castle, built by Sir Charles Berry who also built the houses of Parliament, this is the countryseat of the Earls of Carnarvon. Explore the castle’s public rooms with its splendid public main hall, the library and sitting rooms.

Insider tip: Once you’ve discovered the castle well, you may spend some time enjoying the parklands created by Lancelot “Capability” Brown or savour tea and cake at one of the tea rooms.

A copy of Lady Carnarvon autobiography will also be given to you on the tour. It makes for fascinating reading and is a unique souvenir to remember the day!!
