  • Overview & Itinerary

    Overview

Take a five-star luxury catamaran to the Outer Great Barrier Reef. The crystal blue water of the Outer Reef is home to an amazing variety of colorful marine life.

Snorkel, scuba dive, swim or if you don’t want to enter the water, go on a coral-viewing cruise in a glass-bottom boat! Also included in this tour is Marine World which, among other attractions, has an underwater observatory.

    Itinerary

You will be picked up from your hotel and will travel in an air-conditioned vehicle to the Reef Fleet terminal at Marlin Jetty from where you will board the catamaran for the cruise. The catamaran features a large air-conditioned main saloon, a spacious top sun deck and wheelhouse salon and an 8-metre rear deck with a lowering transom which makes access to and from the water extremely easy and un-crowded.

As the catamaran pulls out of the jetty, enjoy the picturesque views of the blue water and the complimentary tea/coffee that you are served.

Enjoy a presentation on the Great Barrier Reef by a marine nature guide and learn more about how it was formed and the wide variety of marine life that thrives in these waters.

You will then arrive at the Outer Barrier Reef where you will spend 5 hours at the ‘Marine World’. This Outer Great Barrier Reef base comprises of a 2 storey platform and has as an underwater observatory, upper sundeck, children's swimming enclosure and a spacious deck. Lounge around the deck and visit the underwater observatory and see a fascinating variety of marine life.

You will also have the opportunity to enjoy snorkeling (equipment provided) with a guide, semi submersible tours with German and French-speaking crew or a coral viewing tour in a glass bottom boat incase you don’t want to get your feet wet!

Enjoy a hot or cold (as per your choice) tropical buffet lunch and later cheese and fruit along with afternoon tea/coffee.

After this fun-filled day in the Outer Barrier Reef, you will return to the mainland from where you will be picked up in an air-conditioned vehicle and be dropped off to your hotel. The tour ends at your hotel.
