Our tips for Kuranda Village

  • The village has 2 main markets: The Kuranda Original Rainforest Markets open Thursday to Monday and the Heritage Markets open Thursday to Sunday. Strolling through the markets brimming with local handicrafts, jewelry and gift items is a must-have experience for every tourist. 
  • There are tons of outdoorsy activities to be enjoyed. The train ride, Barron River Cruise, the cable car ride and a hike through the national park are just some of the activities that you simply can’t miss.
