No license or previous experience is necessary to take part in this fun adventure. Safety instructions and a quad bike lesson are provided.
Whizz through the Queensland forest and savanna and enjoy superb views of the surrounding countryside.
Before heading back to Cairns, take time to meet the other animals -cattle, sheep, goats, peacocks and chickens - that live on this working farm.
Before setting out on your ride, you will have morning tea, and will be given a basic quad bike riding lesson and safety instructions. Kuranda has a large fleet of quad bikes, 250 cc ATVs (All Terrain Vehicles) plus 90 cc ATVs for women and children.
You will enjoy a 2- hour ride along tree-lined trails and across the savanna grasslands of this 1000 hectare farm. Your tour starts in a safe open paddock where you can improve your skill in steering and handling your ATV.
After the fun of the short course, you will venture into the forest. As you whizz across creeks and around giant anthills, you'll see native wildlife up close and enjoy great views of the surrounding countryside.
During your time at Kuranda, you will also meet some of the animals on this working farm. These include cattle, sheep, goats, chickens and peacocks.
Before leaving the farm, you'll be treated to hot snacks for lunch. A vegetarian option is available on prior request.
At the end of your quad bike adventure, you will be dropped off back at your hotel in Cairns.
