People of all riding abilities can be part of this Queensland bush adventure.
Follow enticing forest trails; see native animals and birds and magnificent termite mounds. Catch stunning views of the surrounding landscape and coast.
Before heading back to Cairns, take time to meet the other animals -cattle, sheep, goats, peacocks and chickens -that live on this working farm.
For your exciting Horse Riding Adventure from Cairns you will be picked up from your hotel and driven out to the ranch at Kuranda, 35 minutes west of Cairns.
Before setting out on your ride, you will have morning tea, and will be given your protective helmet and a basic riding and safetylesson. Kuranda has a stable of more than 70 well-behaved horses and can cater for all ages and riding abilities.
You will enjoy a 2 hour ride through lush pasture and forest around the ranch. As you follow interesting trails through the woods you can see large termite mounds and plenty of native wildlife. From gaps in the trees you will catch spectacular views over the tablelands and coast.
During your time at Kuranda, you can meet some of the other animals on this working sheep and cattle farm. These include cattle, sheep, goats, peacocks and chickens.
Before leaving Kuranda, you'll be treated to an Aussie barbeque lunch. A vegetarian option is available on prior request.
At the end of your horse-riding adventure, you will be dropped off back at your hotel in Cairns.
