    Raft your way through the famous Barron Gorge, a world heritage listed rainforest and enjoy an action-packed afternoon of fun and adventure.

    Raft through the Barron Gorge National Park onboard an inflatable raft. The rapids on the Barron River are grade 2 and 3, which means they're ideal for first timers. Also tackle the infamous Rooster Tail where an action photograph will be taken to capture the moment.

    At the end of the adventure, you can optionally enjoy swim in Lake Placid.

    For your Barron River White Water Rafting Tour, you will depart from your hotel in Cairns or Northern Beaches from 1:45 pm onwards. The course of your tour for the entire duration is as follows:

    1:45pm to 2:25pm: You will travel to Lake Placid, a suburb of Cairns, after being picked up from your accommodation.

    2:30pm to 3:00pm: You will meet your river guide and your fellow paddlers on the bank of the River Barron. The guide will give you your rafting gear, after which you are ready to hit the waters.

    3:00pm to 4:45pm: Your guide will give you safety instructions and train you in paddling techniques and command, before you start your rafting experience through scenic Barron Gorge. Tackle grade 2 and 3 rapids including the infamous Rooster Tail where action photos will be taken, before cooling off with a refreshing swim in Lake Placid which is optional

    4:45pm to 5:15pm: After rafting, relax with some tea or coffee and change into dry clothes. Also, check out the photographs of your rafting act and rewind the experience in your mind.

    < b>5:30pm to 6:00pm: You will be dropped back to your hotel in Cairns or Northern Beaches.

    There should be minimum 12 passengers for guaranteed departure. Should this number not be met for your chosen date you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.

    A rafting levy of AUD25.00 per person applies. This charge is payable direct and subject to change without notice.

    Voucher information: You must print and surrender a paper version of your booking voucher for this activity (showing your voucher on a smartphone is not accepted). No refund can be given for customers without a printed copy of their voucher.
