Your hotel at Cairns or Northern Beaches.
Board a luxurious catamaran from Cairns and set sail to the island for a relaxed and adventurous day. Upon reaching the island, spend time viewing the coral reef and fish life, relaxing on the white sandy beach and exploring the walking tracks that lead through the National Park. Other additional activities include scuba diving, helmet diving, boat snorkel tours, or the hire of canoes and beach lounge chairs.
Take in the beauty of the Great Barrier Reef and enjoy a scrumptious lunch buffet and have ample time to relax on the pristine white beach.
You will be picked up from your hotel in Cairns or the Northern Beaches to begin your Green Island Day Tour. There are two daily departures (9am and 11am) to choose from, for this full day adventure. A modern air-conditioned will take you to the Green Island from Cairns.
While onboard, you will see a snorkeling demonstration and you will be given an introduction on how to spend your day at the island, while you enjoy complementary tea and coffee.
Surrounded by sapphire blue waters, there was a time when Green Island had nothing more than a jetty, a marine viewing point at the end of the jetty and a few huts. Presently, it attracts a large number of tourists every year. For its beauty and rich wildlife it was declared a national park as long ago as 1937.
Upon reaching the island, indulge in various activities like snorkeling and diving, exploring the rainforest, or simply lazing away the day on glorious white-sand beaches. You can also go for coral viewing tours in semi-submarine or glass bottom boat tours.
After a long day, relish a scrumptious buffet lunch while taking in the serene view. There are also a range of optional extras at your disposal, such as scuba diving, helmet diving, boat snorkel tours, or the hire of canoes and beach lounge chairs.
