Codorníu Wine Cellars Tour:

You will be visiting the Codorníu Wine Cellars, the world’s second largest producer of Cava, a famous sparkling wine. Enjoy a tour of the Modernista style complex boasting more than 450 years of history in housing the world's largest underground cellars. Hop on to an electric train to explore 21 miles of tunnels and the underground cellars.

You will also sample the home-grown Cava at the Codorníu Winery before proceeding to Montserrat. See the extensive rows of vines and learn about the origins and culture of Cava from your guide on this wine cellars tour.

Montserrat Tour:

Your next destination is Montserrat. A part of the Catalan Pre-Coastal Range, Montserrat is known for its picturesque beauty and scenic landscapes. You’ll revel in the Montserrat Natural Park, an important region representing Catalan culture with roads, caves, chapels and shrines all carved into the mountain.

Explore the paths, stairs, caves, chapels and hermitages scattered across Montserrat Mountain and soak in the picturesque landscape and panoramic views. Visit the famous 1000-year-old Benedictine monastery perched halfway up the mountain and see the La Moreneta, the patron saint of Catalonia, a presence strongly felt and revered here.

Pay a visit to the museum with paintings by El Greco, Picasso and Dalí among many others. Ancient Egyptian treasures and a library with nearly 300,000 volumes is also housed here. There will be free time to enjoy lunch (not included in the package) and explore the site on your own.
