Get to grips with modern and historical Tokyo with this full day tour that takes you on land, water and high into the sky.
The tour sets off from the Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal from where we make our way to the unmistakable Tokyo Tower, which stands proud at 333m overlooking the city. Ride 250m up to its observation deck where spectacular views over metropolitan Tokyo will unfold before your eyes. After a brush with modern Tokyo, it’s then time to take in a traditional custom with a traditional tea ceremony experience before having a Japanese-style lunch.
Next stop is the Imperial Palace Plaza to admire Nijubashi Bridge and the surrounding scenery of the National Garden which forms part of the palace grounds open to the public. We continue our afternoon with a leisurely 40 minute cruise along the Sumida River for a different view of modern day Tokyo.
Of the 33 temples in Eastern Japan dedicated to the Goddess Kannon, Asakusa Kannon is the only one in the capital. Visit this historic area which includes Nakamise-dori, the street leading to the temple, and head straight back into modern Tokyo with a drive through the dazzling luxury shopping area of Ginza. The tour then ends at Tokyo Station, from where you can enjoy an evening in this sparkling capital city.
The confirmation voucher includes the local activity operator’s contact details. They’re a nice bunch, and will happily answer any logistical questions you may have. Please give them a call at least 24 hours before your organised activity to reconfirm.
Voucher information: Sorry, but we will need you to print a paper version of your booking voucher (we're working on changing this). At this time no refund can be given for customers without a printed copy of their voucher.
