Overview

In Japan, nature’s beauty takes many forms and Mount Fuji and Hakone are places that offer exceptional picturesque views of the landscape.

Meet your English-speaking guide in Shinjuku and depart from Tokyo on a bus to the 5th Station, situated at 2000 meters above sea level, and offers the closest views of Mt Fuji floating over the clouds. Also feel the sacred atmosphere at Japanese shinto Shrine there! *If we cannot go up there, we will attend the highest available point on the day and if it is only the first station or the driveway is closed, we will visit Oshino Hakkai or an alternative place.

Visit the Ninja Village of “Oshino Shinobi no Sato”. If the hunger pangs kick in, upgrade and add a buffet lunch to the tour and enjoy a sumptuous lunch.

Visit the Hakone area, starting with “Owakudani” a valley once called “Valley of Hell.”

Still an active volcano, see the steam coming from the ground, smell the sulfur, and try eating “Kuro Tamago” Black Egg believed to prolong life!

The Hakone Ropeway ride boasts stunning views of Mt. Hakone. The ropeway takes you to Lake Ashi, a caldera lake where you can enjoy a cruise and admire the beautiful natural landscape and Mt. Fuji. Don’t miss out to see Torii Gate which is floating on the water!

Visit Hakone Shrine, one of the most famous shrines with an impressive red torii gate floating on the water called “Torii of Peace.” Go up to the main Shrine, pray for your health and get some spring water, believed to remove negative energy.

On the way back, there will be a quick stop at Odawara Station, after which you will return to Shinjuku Station.

*People who has JR pass can use their own tickets and use bullet train from Odawara Station.
