Overview

A one-of-a-kind way to explore Sydney’s incredible history, this Pub Crawling Tour through The Rocks neighborhood is perfect for one and all. Whether you are a beer connoisseur or just love your brews or even if history is your priority, this trail has you covered with an unforgettable experience.

Our unique journey will help you explore Sydney’s history and pubs in one go. As you stroll through the alleys and cobbled streets of The Rocks, moving from one watering hole to another, your guide will fill you in on all the gossip, shouts, and stories of Australia’s first European settlement. Dig into fascinating anecdotes of the assortment of legends, gangs, and hauntings this famous neighbourhood is drenched in - from larrikins to colonial politics, all while savouring some of the finest brews of the city.

The tour includes a choice of a beer (285ml/10oz), house wine, or soft drink at each of the four pubs we will be visiting along with a two and a half hour guided walking tour of The Rocks. Find out all about the fight for the title of “Sydney’s Oldest Pub”, how a bunch of ‘Larrikin Gangs’ rule the area, the intriguing concept behind ‘6 O’Clock Swill’, how beer quelled the rum rebellion, where the Bubonic Plague started and how it was controlled, the constant fight over controlling The Rocks, the oldest haunted place in Sydney and much more. One of the best ways to explore The Rock, we’d say!

The confirmation voucher includes the local activity operator’s contact details. They’re a nice bunch, and will happily answer any logistical questions you may have. Please give them a call at least 24 hours before your organised  activity to reconfirm.

This activity is for adults only. Those under the age of 18 years will have to sit this one out, we’re afraid.

The pub tours from Dave’s are true-blue behind-the-scenes experiences, which means that the itineraries might vary sometimes to accommodate brewery operations. These guys truly love their beer, so, sometimes they might even change the itineraries slightly to accommodate some beer-related activities going on in town that - and would be totally worth it!

You too can a chance to participate in the itinerary. If you do have a MUST-SEE beer spot, do let us know when making your booking (mention it in our Special Requests section) and we’ll do all we can to make it happen.
