Visit theThingvellir National Park. A UNESCO World Heritage site, this historic national park is located at the junction of the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. It’s also famous for being the place of Iceland’s parliament since the 10th century!

Visit the famous geothermal area The Great Geysir. Witness Strokkur - the hot spring sprouting steaming water up to 30 meters in the air after every eight minutes. 

Next, enter the mind blowing and misty terrain of the Gullfoss Waterfall. Only about seven minutes away from the Geysir, this iconic waterfall is located on the glacial river of Hvítá meaning ‘white’ . It is a stunning sight with a fall of 32 meters into the deep canyon. On sunny days, you might catch the shimmer of a rainbow forming over the falls.

See the Kerið Volcanic Crater, formed during an eruption around 3000 years ago. The crater bottom is now covered by a picturesque lake and booasts a stunning display of contrasting hues. There is a walking path around the top of the crater from where you can descend down to the water´s edge.
