Our tips for Pinnacles Desert

Pack a picnic basket with food and drinks as there aren’t too many convenient places to stop and buy supplies. Visit the Discovery Centre for a historic timeline of the Pinnacles Desert with theories on how the Pinnacles were formed. You can buy a souvenir from the shop to take back home. Enjoy some truly spectacular views on the 4-5 km Pinnacle Walk Trail through the Nambung National Park if you have the extra time and the weather is not too hot.

The best time to visit the Pinnacles is between August and October when the weather is cooler and the wildflowers bloom. Wondering what time to visit? The best time to visit is early in the morning or late afternoon. While the Pinnacles Desert Discovery Centre is open during the day, the trail is open at night as well.
