Drive through the rolling vineyards of Malta until you arrive at Marsaxlokk, a fishing village known for the famous swordfish that is caught there. Enjoy lunch at a traditional Maltese restaurant and then you’re on your way towards the Tarxien Temples which are rumoured to have been used for animal sacrifice over four millennia ago. Finally explore the eerie cave of Ghar Dalam, home to some of Malta’s first inhabitants.

The tour begins with you being picked up from your hotel by air-conditioned luxury coach transportation. A multi-lingual guide (fluent in English, Spanish, Italian, French, German, Russian, and Scandinavian) will be there to accompany you. For those starting the tour in Gozo, see the please note section for information on how to join the tour. Walk through a winding Maltese Pjazza. The traditional flavor will give you a feeling of Malta. You will proceed to the graceful inlet of the Zurrieq Valley, whose steep slopes jet deep into the water. There, you will have the opportunity to take a boat trip to the famed Blue Grotto (payable direct, weather permitting). Board the bus and wind through varied agricultural land and rolling vineyards until you reach the small fishing village of Marsaxlokk. Here, you can admire the waterfront lined luzzus painted in traditional colors that add charm to the serene bay. From there, you will enjoy a lunch at a local restaurant and take some time to browse through the quaint crafts that are local to the area at a characteristic market. After lunch explore the famed Tarxien Temples which were built over 4000 years ago. Finally, explore the dark cave of Ghar Dalam, the home of the first inhabitants of the area. Learn about these inhabitants' famous pottery wares. The tour will conclude with you being dropped off at your Malta hotel or at Malta's port (tours departing from Gozo) for your ferry back to Gozo, at the other end you will be met by either a taxi/ minibus to be dropped back at your Gozo accommodation.
