Overview

A visit to Gozo is a must! Not soon after being picked up from your hotel will you be waving goodbye to Malta as you embark on the twenty-minute crossing (approx.) to the magnificent island of Gozo. As soon as you set foot on the island you will note that although both islands are similar in history and development, Gozo has a character entirely of its own, most notably, greener.
You will visit some of the island's most popular landmarks during the tour. The three-hilled island is greener and more picturesque. You will first visit Ggantija, a Neolithic megalithic temple. The Ggantija temples are the earliest of a series of megalithic temples in Malta and are older than the pyramids of Egypt. You will then drive to Marsalforn where you will board the trackless train.
During the 40-minute ride, pass by Marsalforn Bay, Qbajjar Bay, Xwejni Bay, the Salt Pans and the Salvatur Statue. Tourists hardly visit this area since no vehicles are allowed apart from this trackless train. Next, visit the Crafts Centre where you will have the chance to savor some local cuisine. Here you can also see stone works, marble, and local lace.
The next stop is Dwejra Bay and then Gozo's capital city Victoria. See the Cittadella, which has been the centre of activity of the island since Neolithic times. Dinner will be served in a restaurant in Rabat. After a tour full of experiences you will have a short ferry crossing back to Malta, and will be dropped off at your hotel.
