The tour begins with a pick-up from your Malta/Gozo hotels by an air-conditioned luxury coach. You will be accompanied by your multi-lingual guide (English, German, Spanish, Italian, French, Russian and Scandinavian) for this exciting tour. There is no better way to spend a Sunday morning on this fantastic excursion that starts off by taking us to one of Malta's jewels, the Blue Grotto, with its dazzling blue sea that will definately leave a striking impression. If weather permits, we are given the opportunity to take a boat ride (boat fee not included) around the caves and grottoes where we can see the luminescent corals and glowing water at first hand. Our next stop brings together old and new with a visit to a modernised quarry, the Limestone Heritage that explains farmhouse building, stone decoration and quarrying which is one of the foremost trades in Malta. This wonderful tour comes to an end after we visit the serene bay of Marsaxlokk, the main fishing village in Malta. One cannot miss all the luzzus, which are the typical Maltese fishing boats, lined across the bay in their traditional colours that compliment the ever popular open air market that is held daily along the promenade. We will have time to browse through the numerous stalls and hunt for the many bargains that make this excursion one of the most pleasant mornings whilst in Malta. The tour will conclude with you being dropped off at your Malta hotel or at Malta's port (tours departing from Gozo) for your ferry back to Gozo, at the other end you will be met by either a taxi/ minibus to be dropped back at your Gozo accommodation.
Please call the activity operator at least 24 hours prior to start of the tour for reconfirming departure details
Hotel pick up is available from most Malta hotels, however some Malta hotels have very narrow access streets, if you are staying in one such hotel and it is not possible for a coach to drive to your hotel you will be advised on a pick up point. Pick up point would only be a few minutes away on foot, usually around 200 meters away
The ferry company does not allow us to pre pay ferry tickets for children so the guests would have to buy the ferry tickets for the children themselves
The boat trip to the Blue Grotto is Euro 7.00 per person and is paid directly on the spot by all guests.
