Your Malta/ Gozo accommodation.
Begin your tour in scenic Bidnija and ride past farmers’ homes and well tilled fields. Relax as your tour guide leads you through the grassy knoll near Wardija. Breathe in the fresh air and listen to the sounds of nothing but the gallop of horses as you get back to nature in Malta!
The tour begins with you being picked up from your hotel by air-conditioned minivan.
For Gozo departures, you will be picked up in either a taxi or a mini-bus from your Gozo accommodation to Mgarr Gozo port (included is the ferry ticket from Mgarr Gozo to Cirkewwa port on Malta - journey takes approx. 30mins). Once you get off the ferry walk along the pier and you will see the first and only building Paradise Bay Hotel. Its just a 100 yards away from the ferry terminal and cannot be missed since the surroundings are fields and countryside. The guests must wait at the reception until the guide picks them up for the start of the excursion.
From there, drive to Bidnija, the rural hamlet of Northern Malta. Located between two valleys, it is quintessential of many Maltese villages.
In Bidnija, meet your professional horse riding instructor who will provide you with both a horse and helmet for the one or two hour tour that you have chosen.
Then ride through the green countryside and picturesque villages on horseback.
For the two hour tour, you will stop in the hilltop village of Wardija for a photo opportunity of the sloping hills of Malta.
The tour will conclude with you being dropped off at your Malta hotel or at Malta's port (tours departing from Gozo) for your ferry back to Gozo, at the other end you will be met by either a taxi/ minibus to be dropped back at your Gozo accommodation.
Please call the activity operator at least 24 hours prior to start of the tour for reconfirming departure details
Hotel pick up is available from most Malta hotels, however some Malta hotels have very narrow access streets, if you are staying in one such hotel and it is not possible for a coach to drive to your hotel you will be advised on a pick up point. Pick up point would only be a few minutes away on foot, usually around 200 meters away
The ferry company does not allow us to pre pay ferry tickets for children so the guests would have to buy the ferry tickets for the children themselves
