Your Malta/ Gozo accommodation.
Drive to the scenic Reef Bay at St. Julian’s where a trained diving instructor will teach you the necessary precautions and how-to’s of this exciting adventure sport. Don your mask and fins and then dive deep down into the beautiful reefs. Experience the thrill of breathing underwater. Grab the opportunity to explore more of Malta’s unique bays from under the sea.
The tour begins with you being picked up at your Malta hotel by an air-conditioned mini-van.
For Gozo departures, you will be picked up in either a taxi or a mini-bus from your Gozo accommodation to Mgarr Gozo port (included is the ferry ticket from Mgarr Gozo to Cirkewwa port on Malta - journey takes approx. 30mins). Once you get off the ferry walk along the pier and you will see the first and only building Paradise Bay Hotel. Its just a 100 yards away from the ferry terminal and cannot be missed since the surroundings are fields and countryside. The guests must wait at the reception until the guide picks them up for the start of the excursion.
Drive to the stunning St Julian’s Bay . Named for the patron saint Julian, the reef boasts plenty of cardinal fish and intricate coral formations.
At the bank of the bay, a trained professional diving instructor will introduce you to this exciting sport. The possible dives range from try dives / discover dives to open water courses, advance open water courses, rescue diver courses, and dive master courses.
After learning about the equipment and apparatus, you will have the opportunity to do a try/discover dive in these stunning blue waters.
After experimenting with scuba in St Julian’s Bay you will have the opportunity to embark on additional short dives not deeper than 12 metres in Cirkewwa which is the most visited dive site in Malta because of its cliffs, caves and tunnels (weather permitting).
Also visit the clear waters St. Elmo’s Bay (weather permitting) and enjoy short dives here.
Finally return to St. Julian’s and board the mini van transport to be returned to your your Malta hotel or at Malta's port (tours departing from Gozo) for your ferry back to Gozo, at the other end you will be met by either a taxi/ minibus to be dropped back at your Gozo accommodation.
Please call the activity operator at least 24 hours prior to start of the tour for reconfirming departure details
Hotel pick up is available from most Malta hotels, however some Malta hotels have very narrow access streets, if you are staying in one such hotel and it is not possible for a coach to drive to your hotel you will be advised on a pick up point. Pick up point would only be a few minutes away on foot, usually around 200 meters away
The ferry company does not allow us to pre pay ferry tickets for children so the guests would have to buy the ferry tickets for the children themselves
In adverse weather the tour may not be able to operate, in such instances every effort will be made to move you to another date, if this is not possible you will be offered a full refund
Please ensure that there are at least 18 hours between taking this tour and flying to/from Malta.
