Overview

England and castles go hand in hand. Home to some of the best bucket-list locations in the world, this tour will take you on a journey across London’s illustrious history covering Leeds Castle, Dover Port, Canterbury, Greenwich and of course, Thames.

This unforgettable trip will begin at the famous Leeds Castle, known as “the loveliest castle in the world”. Dating back to medieval times, this stunning castle is built in the marvellous Tudor style right in the middle of a breath taking lake formed by the River Len. With an early access to the castle, take your time and sink in to the idyllic setting of this gigantic estate amidst the laps of Mother Nature as you tour through the galleries and chapels or relax by the water watching the black swans and wild fowls.

Next up is the iconic white cliffs of Dover. From Dunkirk to Shakespeare, World War I to Caesar's Roman Invasion, these white chalk cliffs have witnessed some of the biggest turning points in World as well as European history. Standing tall as symbol of hope and home on the English Channel, these gorgeous wall of limestone covered with vibrantly green grass with ponies grazing on them are a sight to behold. Walk around the historic port and the beautiful 12th century castle as you soak the mesmerising panorama of the Atlantic.

Immortalised by the Father of English Literature in the famous Canterbury Tales, the namesake town is our next halt. Canterbury has been the hub of Christian worship for almost 1700 years and is one of the most visited places in the UK. Protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is home to renowned authors Marlowe and Maugham as well as archaic locales like the Westgate which is the oldest surviving city gate in England.

After our brush with British literary and royal heritage, we will proceed to our final pit stop for the day - the home of maritime science and the origin point of world time, Greenwich. The charming little town in south east London is dotted with numerous parks and gardens as well as the enigmatic Georgian estates. We will visit Cutty Sark, a standing testimony to Greenwich’s naval prowess and the fastest sailing ship of its time. One of the three ‘original composite construction clipper ships’ still standing today, it is synonymous with supremacy of British naval culture and invokes a certain kind of awe for its incredible build.

Our magical day through the London countryside ends with an equally enchanting cruise on the River Thames back to Embankment Pier in London. After a day of relishing the illustrious background of London, you can sit back and rejuvenate yourself in the fresh wind as you feast your eyes on the Big Ben, Tower of London and more of the city’s exemplary monuments!
