The magnificent monuments along the river bear testimony to centuries of glorious history of the Portuguese. Admire the history and scenic beauty of Lisbon on this mini cruise.
As your boat sails down the river, appreciate the beautiful houses, historic monuments and lush green hills.
You will enjoy the below sights:
Lisbon bridge: It was inaugurated on 06 August 1966 and a train platform was added in 1999. Because of its similar coloring, it is often compared to the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, USA. In fact, it was built by the same company.
Monuments to the Discoveries : The monument consists of a 52 metre-high slab of concrete, carved into the shape of the prow of a ship. The side that faces away from the river features a carved sword stretching the full height of the monument. It was conceived by Portuguese artists, architect Cottinelli Telmo and sculptor Leopoldo de Almeida as a temporary beacon of the Portuguese World Fair in 1940.
Parque das Nações: The area underwent a tremendous transformation in the 1990s when it was chosen as the location for the Expo '98 World Exhibition.
A mini cruise is a real must in order to enjoy Lisbon, a city overlooking the river.
Your tour concludes at the original point of departure.
