Travel on unmarked roads to a top-secret facility whose very existence is still denied by the U.S. military. Located in the remote Nevada desert, Area 51 is a famous spot for UFO sightings, including the the notorious Roswell “alien crash” of 1947. Journey through stunning scenery to a crusty, dry lake and see Native American pictographs resembling aliens. Lunch at the celebrated 'Little A'le' Inn, where Independence Day was filmed. Stop at the famed Black Mailbox, now white, which served for years as meeting place for UFO watchers. Drive through a spooky Joshua tree forest to the Area 51 perimeter and see the armed guards, listening devices, and cameras among the cacti. Try waving to the guards in the 4X4 parked on a hillside. They won't wave back!
At the beginning of your thrilling Area 51 Tour to the world's most famous military facility, you will be picked up from your Las Vegas hotel in a luxury air-conditioned vehicle by your English-speaking driver & guide. The journey to Area 51 takes about two hours. You will drive through incredibly beautiful scenery with photo-stops along the way. Then, in a remote part of the desert, you will find Native American pictographs that resemble aliens before stopping at Groom Lake, a dry lake bed where there have been recent UFO sightings.
Your driver will then lead you on a journey along the 'Extraterrestrial Highway' on your way to the famous Little A'le' Inn. This general store and restaurant has hosted numerous documentaries and movies including Independence Day. At Little A'le' Inn, you will find a wealth of information regarding Area 51. Captain Chuck Clark, an ex-air force captain, has written a manual on Area 51, which is available for sale.
Lunch will be at Little A'le' Inn, where the Alien Burgers are really tasty! Afterwards, you will travel to the location of the celebrated Black Mailbox. The only landmark on a barren stretch of highway, this has been a meeting place for UFO watchers for years. Contrary to popular misconception, it is not the mailbox of Area 51; but, rather, it belongs to a local rancher. And, although the original box was black, the current one is white. You will then drive along the dusty road through a strangely deformed Joshua tree forest until you reach the perimeter of Area 51. You will know you are there when you see the guards (the Men in Black), detection devices, listening devices, and cameras mounted among the cacti.
The signs read, “Use of Deadly Force Authorized”; and, you can be sure that they mean it. As much as the U.S. Air Force has denied the existence of Area 51, you can see for yourself that it is there.
At the end of your mysterious adventure to the world's most secret place, you will be dropped back at your hotel in Las Vegas.
