Dubai is a place where everything is possible and can boast some of the world's most recognizable and exciting attractions. Located on the northern edge of the Arabian Peninsula, Dubai is known for its rich heritage and quintessential experiences. Touted as the “Las Vegas of the Middle East, Dubai is known for its architectural marvels like Burj Khalifa (the tallest building in the world), Burj Al Arab, and Dubai Frame to name a few. At 492 feet tall, Dubai Frame is the biggest picture frame in the world.
Dubai is hot and steamy year-round. To avoid the scorching, sauna-like summer months, opt for a visit from November to March when low 30°C days rule. Be warned, with the pleasant weather comes the tourists. Tourist season reaches its peak in January through to March when top Dubai attractions host cultural events and festivals like the Dubai Camel Racing and Dubai Tennis Open.
A lack of pavements, pedestrian crossings and traffic lights make traveling by foot challenging, with many opting for a licensed driver or taxi to get them from point A to B. Besides driving, the city's modern transport links of metro trains and buses are your best bet. Simply pick up a rechargeable Nol Card from your local metro station or ticket office to travel on these channels.
The top must-do things in Dubai include a visit to the world’s tallest skyscraper Burj Khalifa, the sunset tour of Desert Safari, Dhow Cruise with dinner, and a visit to its major theme parks such as Bollywood Park, Motiongate and Legoland Park.
There is plenty to experience for adventure enthusiasts in Dubai. You can enjoy outdoor activities like skydiving, dune bashing, quad biking, sand boarding, and hot air balloon rides.
