UH-OH! AT THE MOMENT, THERE ARE NO TOURS AVAILABLE FOR DAINTREE RAINFOREST
High demand, seasonal availability and unexpected closures can be the reason. We're working on getting it up and running. Meanwhile, you can search for other activities on our website. We don’t want you to leave disappointed!

Our tips for Daintree Rainforest

  • To fully experience the beauty of the Daintree National Park, spend at least 2-3 nights there. Sleeping in the rainforest beneath the stars and waking up with the animals in Daintree Rainforest will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
  • Enjoy a guided walk of the Mossman Gorge, enjoy a cruise on the River Daintree and visit the Discovery Centre at the very start of the visit to learn more about the forest.
  • To visit the national park, you have to cross the Daintree River. The only way across is by the Daintree River Ferry which costs approx. AU$30 return, per vehicle. However, the multi day pass which allows up to 5 return trips costs AU$59 per vehicle, can help you save some money.

Good to know

May to September are the best months to visit the Daintree Forest. Rainfall is low, the water is clear and the temperatures hover in the low 60s to mid-80s. However, book your tours and tickets well in advance as this is the peak tourist season and so prices are higher and the crowds are more.
