Get ready to be surprised by the very unusual Park Guell designed by Antoni Gaudi. The park is composed of gardens and architectonic elements and is one of the most impressive public parks in the world. You can easily get lost in the whimsical design of this park, be careful! Park Guell contains amazing stone structures, stunning tiling and fascinating buildings and offers wonderful views of Barcelona.
Your second part of the tour will take you to the remarkable Sagrada Familia, the unfinished church designed by Gaudi. Here, you will find the crypt where Gaudi is buried as well as the transept and central nave with its giant, huge pillars and spectacular vaulting. Also, explore the Sagrada Familia Museum where the drawings, plaster models and picture will tell the history of the basilica and the story of its designer.
To begin your Fully-guided Park Guell and Sagrada Familia Tour, meet your guide in front of the main entrance of Park Guell from where you will benefit from Fast Track access to the park. Your bilingual guide will share a range of fascinating anecdotes about Park Guell.
The park proudly showcases Gaudi’s work which unites nature and architecture. At the entrance of the park, there is a big staircase dominated by a dragon decorated with a mosaic of ceramic tiles, an example of a Catalan style called “trencadís”. This dragon is one of the most characteristic images of Barcelona. The park is arranged around a large central square bordered by a zigzag, “trencadís” covered bench. Below the square, the roof is supported by 86 Doric columns with paths between them, and viaducts on sloping columns.
After your visit to Park Guell, the guide will escort you to the bus and take you to the office next to Sagrada Familia, where you need to check in for the next tour. Your second part of the tour will depart from office in plaza Sagrada Familia, 3, where you will receive your Fast Track tickets.
The Sagrada Familia is one of the most visited buildings in the world. During your visit, see the astonishing interior of this church, where the towers reach up to seventy meters. Antoni Gaudi designed a Latin cross plan with five aisles, extremely rich in ornamentation and symbolism.
Also explore the Sagrada Familia Museum which demonstrates the history and development of this basilica from its early beginnings to the present day. In the museum, you will get to know some interesting facts about Antoni Gaudi´s life and career.
Please arrive at the departure point at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour.
