Overview

Casa Milà, popularly known as ‘La Pedrera’, is one of the most famous and iconic buildings by the renowned architect Antonio Gaudí (1852–1926). This unique complex, constructed between 1906 and 1912 was originally despised by the residents of the affluent Passeig de Gracia and the nickname La Pedrera (meaning the Quarry) signaled their dislike of this ground-breaking design.

However over time it has grown to be one of the Barcelona's famous attractions for its unique style and in 1984 Casa Mila was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. Today it is the headquarters of Fundació Catalunya-La Pedrera and houses a popular cultural centre.

This great skip-the-line ticket allows you to explore the Casa Milà at your leisure.

Itinerary

Make your way to Casa Milà (La Pedrera), an architectural gem of Barcelona and explore the 4 main areas:

The Roof:
Functional elements of an everyday building are given a one-of-a-kind Gaudi twist on the Casa Mila roof. The Chimneys, the skylights, the ventilation shafts and the stairwells are given unique facades to blend harmoniously with the rest of the building.

Espai Gaudi:
The attic of Casa Mila has been transformed into Espai Gaudi. Alongside the water tanks and the washing lines you will find a range of exhibits designed to help you interpret the works of Gaudi.

The La Pedrera Apartment:
Here you can see the original La Pedrera, the apartment commissioned by a wealthy local couple shows the opulence of a bourgeois Barcelona family coupled with vision of Antonio Gaudi.

The Exhibitions:
This large open space on the first floor is now used as an exhibition space and will be open whenever there is a current exhibition.
