Best time to visit
For pleasant temperatures and limited rain, then head to Bilbao between June and September. August is warm, and even during the winter months, it doesn't get too cold. Down to around 11 degrees. Perfect for a city trip visit.
Getting around
You'll be able to easily get yourself around the city on foot. It's part of the charm of visiting here. If, however you want to relax, then there is public transport and taxis. They are easy to use and convenient. Cycle hire is also possible, and you can quickly get around on the hop-on hop-off bus tour, a perfect way to explore Bilboa.

Bilboa is a small town and is very safe for tourists to explore. Most areas are easily accessible, but you should still be constantly aware of your belongings.
