  • Day 1: South Bali - Kintamani

You will be picked up at 1300h (1:00pm) in an air conditioned car from your hotel in south Bali. Accompanied by an English-speaking guide, you will be taken on a 2-hour drive to Kintamani . Enjoy the stunning scenery en route. Stop in Tampak Siring at the holy springs at Tirta Empul. The springs are believed to have magical healing powers. Afterwards, proceed to Lake View Hotel in Kintamani and spend the night. The hotel comprises of Superior and Deluxe Rooms, perched on the edge of a massive volcanic caldera, looking out over the smoking volcano and its deep crater lake. It also has a gift shop, bar, restaurant serving international cuisine, bicycle rental and all modern amenities.
  • Day 2: Kintamani
0930h (09:30am): After breakfast at your hotel, you will be driven down to the edge of Lake Batur to Toyabongkah where your trekking tour starts. Take a boat ride (approximately half an hour) across the calm waters to a village called Trunyan. Instead of cremating the dead, as Balinese do throughout most of the island, the Trunyan community leaves the bodies to decompose naturally in a special cemetery. A collection of skulls and bones lies on the stone platform and the surrounding areas. After exploring the village and learning about its unique traditions, cross the lake back to Toyabongkah and enjoy a delicious lunch before driving back to your hotel. Spend the night at your hotel.
  • Day 3: Kintamani - South Bali
0300h (03:00am): After an early breakfast, depart from the hotel by car to the edge of Lake Batur where your trek begins. Mount Batur is situated a height of 1,717 meters above sea level. Climb up the peak of Mount Batur (approximately 2 hours) and walk around the rim of volcanic cone. Continue to the second crater that last erupted in 1926, the third crater that erupted in 1963 and the youngest crater that erupted in 1974 and again in 1994. Descending from the crater you will land on a black sandy ground that was originally lava that flowed out during the eruption. From here, enjoy a beautiful sunrise and the views of three nearby mountains, Mount Abang, Mount Agung and Mount Rinjani in Lombok. After hiking, take a dip in the hot mineral springs pool. Further on, you will be transferred back to your hotel in south Bali.
