Explore Amsterdam as you cruise effortlessly along the beautiful IJ river bank on a Segway. See Amsterdam’s major attractions like the Maritime Museum, Hermitage Museum, Amsterdam Botanical Gardens, Rembrandt Square and Dam Square.
In just 2 hours on a Segway, you can travel a distance it would take all day to cover on foot. This two wheeled self-balanced vehicle boasts to be the greenest form of transportation and the most fun.
You will be accompanied by a guide throughout the tour, who will take you around the city and share interesting stories and anecdotes about the places visited.
You will meet your guide at IJDok 159, next to Aitana Roommate Hotel, where he will be waiting on a Segway.
Once you are comfortable with your Segway, you will set off with your guide for an exciting sightseeing tour. All the attractions will be viewed from the outside only.
You will glide along beautiful IJ river bank and see the following city landmarks:
Maritime Museum: The museum dates back to 1656 and has a comprehensive 60,000 volumes maritime library, a restaurant and a museum shop.
Amsterdam Botanical Gardens: One of oldest botanical gardens in the world, the garden has over 6000 different plant species.
Hermitage Museum: It is located in an old, monumental building called Amstelhof and since 2009 is one the two largest museums in Amsterdam.
Rembrandt Square: It is one of the busiest squares in Amsterdam and at the centre of the square there is a large statue of the famous artist Rembrandt.
Dam Square: Lined with restaurants, cafes and shopping galore, this square was built in the 13th century.
Nieuwmarkt Square: It has been a centre of commerce and socialising since the 17th century and is known as a lively nightspot and market.
During the course of the tour, you will get ample photo opportunities as you cross the Amstel River via the Skinny Bridge, passing through the canal district lined with typical Dutch canal houses.
The use of the Segway is not recommended for pregnant women.
The tour does not visit the inside of monuments and museums.
