Let your enthusiastic guide show walk you around the streets, uncovering the secrets of Amsterdam while snacking on traditional foods like Belgian fries, herring and cheese.
To begin your Amsterdam Food Tour you should meet your enthusiastic local guide on Spui square, next to the statue of the little boy.
Your guide will lead you through the beautiful streets of central Amsterdam, stopping on the way to sample traditional delicacies.
Find out why the locals love snacking on hot, salty Belgian fries by trying some yourself, then sample another local fave – herring.
Continue your walk through the city, passing Amsterdam’s iconic moats and canals, before venturing into a cheese shop packed with a quality selection of rich cheese. Enjoy a quick taste testing session, then walk to the VOC spice house, a remnant of the East Indies spice trade that shaped this area centuries ago.
Afterwards, head to a distillery that dates back to the 17th century where you can take the opportunity to sip spirits and other traditional drinks.
Your tour ends at Dam Square and you are then free to make your way back to your accommodation or proceed to your next destination.
