Overview

Explore some of the lesser-known gems of the eastern Algarve, visit Olhão, and spend time in Tavira - the queen of the Algarve coastal towns.

Visit a salt pan and learn how the finest salt in Portugal is produced. Beyond this, experience the stunning natural beauty of the Ria Formosa estuary.

Spend time in the traditional and authentic fishing town of Olhão and explore the famous market with its huge selection of fish.

After the market, recharge your batteries with an authentic lunch in a Restaurant, and savor some fresh and succulent fish! After lunch, pass through a tiny, traditional fishing village - Santa Luzia where you can see the pots used to catch octopus - an ingenious device!

Explore Tavira – a famous Algarve coastal town boasting a long, sandy beach, plus salt pans that attract flamingos, spoonbills, and other wading birds, and the medieval Tavira Castle with splendid city views. See the Arab fortress, and the Roman Bridge dating from the IV century, and visit at least some of the town's 22 churches!
