The capital of United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi has undergone significant change and modernization over recent years and has some of the most striking infrastructure and architecture in the world.
Visit one of the world’s largest mosque; the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and then proceed to see the traditional Heritage Village, the spectacular Corniche, the emerging Saadiyat Island and the grand YAS complex, home to Ferrari World, YAS Waterworld, the YAS Mall and the F1 Circuit.
During the course of the tour you will enjoy a sumptuous 3-course meal at a local restaurant.
To begin your Abu Dhabi City tour, you will be picked up from your Abu Dhabi hotel and driven to Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. An English speaking guide will accompany you at all times.
One of the most recognisable landmarks in Abu Dhabi, the Sheikh Zayad Grand Mosque is a remarkable symbol of Islamic architecture with pristine white domes and minarets. The Mosque features 82 domes all decorated with white marble and 1,000 marble columns each inlaid with semi-precious stones, crystal and ceramics. The mosque has seven German chandeliers studded with millions of Swarovski crystals. It is one of only two mosques in the UAE open to non-Muslims.
Next, you will head to the Heritage Village, where you will learn about Abu Dhabi’s early history and Bedouin tradition. The village has picturesque huts and workshops where you can see local artisans at work and a market selling traditional handicrafts.
Moving forward, you will drive along the spectacular Corniche. Some of Abu Dhabi’s best sandy beaches are located on this road extending 6 km or 4 miles along the waterfront. The modern building serves as a beautiful backdrop to the Corniche. It has some fantastic amenities: A cycling track, running track, children’s play areas, volleyball courts, swimming areas and picnic tables.
Before you continue with your city tour, take a lunch break at a local restaurant in Abu Dhabi Harbour. Your buffet menu will include a delectable palette of salads, breads, main course and desserts.
After lunch, your guide will then escort you to Saadiyat Island which is being steadily transformed into a cultural hub with three major international museums, including the world's largest Guggenheim museum and a new Louvre, being built.
Your last stop in the tour will be the Yas Island where your guide will take you for a visit to YAS complex. The guide will show you the Ferrari Park, the YAS Waterworld , the YAS Mall and the F1 circuit. The island also features world-class hotels, golf courses, marinas, polo clubs, and food and beverage outlets.
After the end of the tour, you will be dropped back to your Abu Dhabi hotel.
