Best Time To Visit

For a Jurong Bird Park trip, the best time to schedule your Singapore vacation is late winter through early spring.  The dry season starts in February and continues through April, offering less rain and a tad less humidity.  However, high temperatures and humidity are a factor during a Singapore tour at any point in the year.  Unfortunately, the remainder of the dry season can, at times, cause issues for those with sensitive respiratory systems.  Towards the end of the dry season, Singapore gets smoked out by fires lit by farmers in Sumatra.  If you’d like an exciting Jurong Bird Park experience, then come during the wet season, when the birds are even more active.  Just know that Singapore’s weather is almost entirely unpredictable and can go from heavy rain to clear skies and back again in a matter of minutes.

Getting Around

Singapore offers a bunch of transportation options for reaching Jurong Bird Park.  If you’d like to use public transportation, then you have to take the MRT’s East-West Line to the Boon Lay Station (EW27) and hop on the 194 bus to Jurong Bird Park.  Otherwise, you can take the Safari Gate private bus, which goes directly to Jurong Bird Park and costs $12 for a round-trip ticket.  Should you wish to drive or take a cab to Jurong Bird Park, you can take the Ayer Rajah Expressway to Exit 17 and use Jalan Ahmad Ibrahim main road to arrive at the front gate of the park.  Alternatively, you can take the Pan Island Expressway and use Exit 36, turn left on Jalan Bahar, and turn right on Jalan Ahmad Ibrahim to reach the park.

Money Saving Tips

Pinching your pennies?  Smart move!  If you want to save as much dough as possible, try combining your Jurong Bird Park sightseeing experience with a Singapore Night Safari for a tidy savings!
