  • Prepare for an active day: Strap on your most comfortable walking shows and carry a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated. Bring along your sunglasses, sunscreen and an umbrella in case it rains. You could also carry insect repellent with you in case you have sensitive skin, although Jurong Bird Park is free from dangerous insects. 
  • Don’t miss the King of the Skies show: Although the park is open all day long, you should reach early to watch a riveting show where you can observe predators like white-tailed sea eagle, hawk and Malay fish owl on their hunting trip. The show venue is quite far from the gate and it is recommended that you reach early to watch some fascinating shows. 
  • Refuel at the bird park: There are a whole variety of options if you feel like grabbing a bite. Take your pick from restaurants like Hawk Café, Waterfall Café, Curry Garden, Birdz of Play, Lorry Loft Café and Pizza Hut Express.

Best time to visit

Jurong Bird Park is open 365 days a year. The best time to visit is May, July and August and the maximum birds can be spotted in these months. School holidays and holiday seasons see more crowds than other times so if you’re planning to visit around that time, ensure that you book your ticket online well in advance.

Getting there
  • Grab your Jurong Bird Park Singapore tickets and take the MRT subway East-West Line to Boon Lay (EW27). From there, bus no.194 will take you straight to the park.
  • You could also get the Singapore Attraction Express ticket which provides direct buses from most hotels in the city.
  • Another option is buying a one-way or two-way hopper bus ticket from Safari Gate’s Suntec City to the bird park. Prices range between $7-12 SGD.
