Just off the southern coast of Singapore, Sentosa Island is a popular island resort visited by two million people each year. Home to more than two kilometers’ of sheltered beaches, the world’s largest oceanarium and Southeast Asia’s first Universal Studio’s park, it’s no wonder that the “Island of Tranquility” continues to turn heads. With luscious rainforests, golden beaches, golf courses, and an integrated resort, Sentosa offers both travellers’ and locals some much-needed downtime away from the big smoke. Just 15 minutes from the city’s central shopping and business districts, either a day trip or a longer stay at Sentosa Island will never disappoint.

  • Our tips for Sentosa Island Our tips for Sentosa Island
    • Stroll to the end of Asia. A wander across the floating rope bridge at Siloso Beach offers more than just an Instagram-worthy photo. Reach the end of the bridge and you’ll be at the southernmost point of continental Asia.
    • Get prepped. The weather here can be unpredictable, so bring a waterproof jacket on your Sentosa Island tours just in case!
    • Beat the crowds. Bid goodbye to long queues and book your Sentosa Island tickets for the main attractions well in advance. Universal Studios and the S.E.A Aquarium are particularly popular, so snatch up some tickets early to avoid missing out.

Best Time To Visit In true island fashion, weather in Sentosa averages about 30º year-round, with the odd short downpour. The island is at its busiest during the months of June and July, and November through to December, as locals line up a holiday to coincide with the school breaks in south Asia. So if you fancy a quieter visit, organize your Sentosa Island tickets for the months of April and May to avoid peak times.
Getting There There’s plenty of ways to get to the island, but arguably the most rewarding journey is by cable car. Hop on a cable car to Sentosa from the Harbour Front Tower two, and enjoy epic sky-high views of Singapore city and the island ahead. For those seeking a cheaper journey, the Sentosa Express monorail and the local bus to the island both depart regularly.
Money Saving Tips The animal and bird encounters on Palawan Beach offers free shows and epic live entertainment each day from 2pm to5.30pm. View the exotic birds and even handle a python if you dare. For cheaper entry to the island’s main attractions, book one of our super-saver Sentosa Island tours packages and enjoy fewer crowds and skip-the-line entry.
