Enjoy a delightful introduction to the world of glaciers on this stunning guided walk across the picturesque Virkisjökull glacier! An adventure activity suitable for the entire family, this glacier hike packs a punch with the most spectacular landscape you will ever see. Soak in the pristine Icelandic landscape around you, rejuvenate your senses and discover the majestic beauty of Iceland in the most exciting manner.
Enjoy a 15-minute drive from Skaftafell national park to the Virkisjökull glacier. Take in the spectacular scenery during the drive and admire the impressive mountains that line the southern edge of the Vatnajökull glacier glide past your window. Enjoy a short hike along the glacier valley as your guide explains to you the unique features of the retreating paths of Falljökull and Virkisjökull glaciers and their surroundings. Glacier Wonders is a superb glacier hiking tour taking you into the magnificent ice-world of Falljökull glacier, a tongue of the mighty Vatnajökull, the largest glacier in Europe.
