Overview

Explore the interiors of the glacier in the morning and witness the spectacular Northern Lights in the evening!

Sign up for 2 of the most iconic Icelandic experiences in a single day! Explore the ice tunnel on the Langjökull glacier and see the magnificent Northern Lights. In between the tours, you will have ample time to explore Reykjavik on your own!

You’ll get picked up from your preferred pick-up location in Reykjavik in the morning before heading toward Langjökull for the first experience of the day. There, you will have an exclusive opportunity to step inside Iceland’s second-largest glacier.

Enjoy exploring Reykjavik at your own pace or relax in your hotel after the cave tour. As it gets dark, you will be picked up in a minibus and taken to the city's outskirts, away from the lights. The chance of witnessing the magnificent auroras is highest on the darkest nights. Your expert guide will regale you with interesting commentary on this unique phenomenon.

The Northern Lights appear in the sky from late August to mid-April. Gaze up into the clear sky and enjoy the spectacle of the dazzling shades of greens, purples, and pinks of the Aurora Borealis that dance through the darkness. Also known as the Aurora Borealis, the spectacular natural phenomenon is often seen dancing around in fantastic colors across the Arctic sky.

Voucher Information: Show your voucher on your smartphone or other devices (if you'd rather print a copy - that's fine too!)

Please arrive at the meeting point 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time.

There will be a time gap between the ice-caving tour and the Northern Lights tour, during which you can relax in your hotel and explore Reykjavik independently.

Please note that the Northern Lights are natural phenomena and we, unfortunately, cannot promise you will see them. Their appearance depends upon atmospheric and weather conditions. A refund is not available if the northern lights tour goes ahead and no northern lights are seen but we do offer you the chance to join a Northern Lights Minibus tour free of charge.

Icelandic winter nights can be very cold, we recommend dressing in warm layers and sturdy shoes. Jeans are not recommended for our trips as they become very heavy, cold and uncomfortable to wear when they get wet during Glacier trips.
