Overview

Experience Icelandic nature with a glacier hike and walk on Sólheimajökull glacier tongue, which extends from Mýrdalsjökull. Enjoy an easy and guided 2-2.5 hour walk on crampons up on the ice field, where you learn more about the wonderland of ice sculptures, ridges, deep crevasses and why the glaciers are melting and disappearing. Don’t worry if you’ve never done this before. The glacier hike is suitable for veterans and newbies alike!

Enjoy the exhilarating hike up one of Southern Iceland's most majestic features. You will discover ice that's hundreds of years old, coloured deep blue due to the trapped oxygen bubbles inside. Gaze into the dramatic icy canyon of a glacier moulin on this unique guided tour. On the way back to Reykjavík admire two beautiful waterfalls - Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss. You may even walk behind the Seljalandsfoss waterfall!
