Overview

Experience the scenic landscape of French countryside as you drive from Nice to Verdon Gorge. The tour itinerary depends on seasonality and offers magnificent scenery, impressive canyons, luminous blue waters, a purple sea of the fragrant lavender and leisure time at the most beautiful village in France.

1 June to 31 July
-    Drive through Santa Croix to Valensole Plateau and see perfumed lavender fields and golden wheat field swaying in the gentle breeze.
-    Listen to your guide as he gives you valuable information on the lavender crop in Provence, how to recognize fine lavender, and the use of its essential oil.
-    Several acres of lavender background soothe your eyes and makes for a perfect setting for pictures!
-    See local peasants till the land and cultivate the beautiful lavender.

1 August to 31 May (The lavender fields are in bloom only from June to July)
-    Visit the Provencal village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, located in the mouth of Verdon Gorge and officially listed as one of the most beautiful villages of France.
-    Take a walk through the charming village across the gorge and admire attractive medieval houses and babbling fountains.
-    Moustiers-Sainte-Marie is known for the art of faïence, a type of earthenware pottery. Visit one of the workshops and see artisans at work.

Voucher information: You must print and surrender a paper version of your booking voucher for this activity (showing your voucher on a smartphone is not accepted). No refund can be given for customers without a printed copy of their voucher.

Additional info

The confirmation voucher includes the local activity operator’s contact details and local telephone numbers at the destination. They will happily answer any logistical questions you may have.

Children under 10 years of age are not allowed to travel in the front seat. In the rear seats all children under 10 must be in the correct restraint: if their weight is between 9 and 15kg, a child seat. Over 15 kg, a booster type seat.

Boosters and infant seats can only be provided on prior notice.

Any other language except French & English are on request.

Drivers / guides are not required to accompany guests on sightseeing sites or inside tourist monuments. Schedules of site visits will be given by the driver upon arrival at the venue and in accordance with the current tour.
