This tour ends at the starting point.
Just outside the old medieval town of Dachau stands on the grounds of a former Nazi concentration camp. Dachau was the ‘Academy of Terror’, the originator, role-model and training ground for the vast order of brutality that spread over half of Europe in the wake of the armies of the Third Reich.
Learn from your expert guide about the history of the camp and the barbaric treatment handed out to the Soviet and Jewish prisoners. A place of memory, pilgrimage and education, your trip to the Dachau concentration camp memorial site will be a deeply moving and memorable experience.
Accompanied by an English-speaking guide, you will take a short train ride to Dachau train station located 18 kilometres north-west of Munich. From the train station, you will embark on a short bus journey to the Dachau Memorial.
On arrival, you will be guided on a tour of the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial in the little town of Dachau. The history and nature of the concentration camp will be explained to you in detail, as will its context of political turmoil, war and ideological fanaticism. Above all, the human consequences and the stories of the victims will be conveyed to you.
The tour also includes a visit to the modern museum exhibition centre and a 20-minute film documentary in English.
Today’s Memorial site combines the historical authenticity of the original environment and its many surviving buildings with the function of a modern exhibition centre.

It was well worth every penny we spent on this trip. We could have used mass transit on our own to get there but with our guide, it made it much more easy to navigate.
Thoroughly enjoyed the tour with our very good guide Mr Keith...
