The Nara Afternoon Tour offers a fascinating half-day exploration of Nara's historical sites, departing from Kyoto.
Participants will visit two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Todai-ji Temple, home to the Great Buddha statue, and the Kasuga Taisha Shrine, known for its ancient lanterns and sacred forest. The tour also includes a stroll through Nara Park, where visitors can interact with the friendly, free-roaming wild deer.
This tour provides a guided experience with an English-speaking licensed guide, ensuring an in-depth understanding of the region’s cultural heritage. In addition, the tour promotes sustainability efforts by supporting eco-friendly practices. It’s a perfect option for travelers looking to delve into Japan’s rich history while experiencing its natural beauty.

Public transportation will be used between Kyoto, and Nara. Seating may not be available.
The order of activities and arrival times may differ depending on road conditions and congestion at destinations.
Participants will walk from the parking lot to Todai-ji Temple (about 25 min one-way).
At Kasuga Taisha Shrine, the tour will also enter the Main Sanctuary special visit area. However, in case the special visit area cannot be entered due to events or operational circumstances, the Kasuga Taisha Museum or Manyo Botanical Garden will be visited instead.
Children up to 5 years old may join free of charge, but will not be provided with bus seats or lunch. If bus seats or lunch is required, please make a booking under the child rate.
