How do you like your tea green? A little frothy perhaps with its flavour so deep and unique it’s like nothing else? If green tea is your drink of choice, why not if it isn’t! Then this is a tour you are going to love. A trip to Uji will give you the chance to experience and taste Matcha and other green tea types. If you are new to green tea, once you’ve tried it, there’s no looking back. This tour is more than just green tea though. You're going to learn about history and culture too. You’ll visit the famous Byodoin temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site, no less. And, get this if what you’re already doing isn’t enough! You’ll sit down for a fantastic set lunch, where you’ll have the chance to experience making and drinking tea. See, it’s a matcha made in tea heaven!

Itinerary
Love your green tea? Then here’s the plan. You are going on a tour of green tea heaven. A place where the drink is cherished and appreciated to the fullest.
This tour is a mix of wandering around the Uji district and enjoying the delights of Matcha. You’ll visit the outer grounds of Byodoin temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site. If you’re wondering it’s the temple featured on the 10 yen coin. For further wandering fun, you’ll visit local tea shops and stroll the beautiful streets of Uji. Then it’s onto the main event. Watch as Matcha is made and then enjoy a matcha tasting and lunch. That’ll be 5-7 dishes! Make sure you have plenty of room!
Add in wagashi sweets and matcha ice-cream (the best!), well now you see why this is a tour made in matcha heaven.
