You will be picked up from your hotel in Kuala Lumpur at the scheduled time in the morning for a day trip to Malacca. Explore the historic city of Malacca, full of well-preserved old buildings and ruins right in its heart.
Located 2 hours away from Kuala Lumpur, the tour takes you back in time as you explore the narrow streets and historical squares. Visit some of the most popular top sites in this UNESCO World Heritage City. First stop to the oldest Christian Church (1710) – the oldest Christian Church still in use in Malaysia. Drive past the largest 17th century Chinese cemetery outside of China, located at Bukit China or Chinese Hill.
Stop at the foothill to view the Sultan’s well before driving through the Portuguese Settlement. Proceed to view the gateway. ‘Port De Santiago’ and the ruins of St. Paul’s Church the oldest church building in Malaysia and Southeast Asia and part of the Malacca Museum Complex.
Enjoy a traditional Malaysian lunch and explore Jonker Street, the center street of Chinatown. Enjoy the ‘Abode Merciful Clouds’ or the Cheng Hoon Teng Temple – the only temple where you can find 3 major doctrines of local Chinese belief under the same roof, viz : Taoim, Buddhism and Confucianism. Enjoy the light breeze on the banks of the Malacca River.
The tour ends with a drop off to your hotel in Kuala Lumpur.
