Spend two and a half hours witnessing the most impressive places in the mine like St. Anthony’s Chapel andSt. Kinga’s Chapel, where even chandeliers are made of salt crystals by the former miners.

    Learn about the various stages of mining technology and development over time at Wieliczka, the only site in the world where mining has continued ever since the Middle Ages. Prepare to be awe-inspired by the original excavations such as longitudinals, traverses, chambers, lakes and minor and major shafts that lie on nine levels and stretch to about 300 kilometres.

    Embark further on a 1.5 hour tour of Oskar Schindler Factory that commemorates the life of a man who saved over a thousand Jewish lives during the Holocaust. Participate in the interactive exhibitions at the museum and you will be accompanied by your guide.

    Your hand luggage should be in a reasonable size and your larger luggage should be left in the car.

    Taking photos and filming in Wieliczka Salt Mine is possible only after purchasing an additional pass. The cost for taking photos is 10 PLN / 2,5 Euro - cash only.

    There are no restrictions regarding the age of children in Wieliczka Salt Mine, but they should be either capable of walking unassisted or carried in baby slings or baby carriers. Baby pushchairs are not allowed underground (salt mine).

    There is a special route in the Salt Mine prepared for wheelchair-users and visitors with mobility problems. Additional regulations apply regarding the width of the wheelchair (cannot exceed 56 cm; there is a possibility to get a substitute wheelchair).Exhibition halls in Schindler’s Factory are wheelchair accessible.

    Temperatures in Wieliczka Salt Mine are around 59ºF (15ºC). Also, it should be taken into account that narrow paths may seem claustrophobic, and once underground there is no possibility to shorten your visit and turn back. At the entrance, visitors go 400 steps down and the whole tourist route features over 800 stairs.
