With comfortable round-transfers and skip-the-line admissions to these world-famous landmarks, this tour lets you make the most out of your visit to Krakow. You can also choose to be picked up from your hotel.
Auschwitz-Birkenau Tour
Kickstart this full-day tour from Krakow with a visit to the infamous Nazi concentration camps. While on your way to the site, watch a short documentary film - The Liberation of Auschwitz. Once you reach the campsite, you will meet your guide, who will help you skip the long queues and take you right inside Auschwitz. You will see the infamous inscription ‘Arbeit Macht Frei’ over the entrance gate, which translates to – “work makes you free”. During the tour, you will realise how ironic this slogan is.
Discover the history of World War II and the Holocaust in Poland as you tour the museum and preserved sights, such as barracks, railroad tracks or rows of gas chambers chimneys. It is a truly haunting experience as you step back in time and relive the incarceration, suffering and torture of millions of Jews, one of the heinous and gruesome episodes in world history.
Schindler’s Factory Tour
Steven Spielberg’s Schindler’s List has brought Oskar Schindler to the fore of popular culture, which makes a visit to Schindler’s Factory inevitable during a trip to Krakow.
Visit the original enamel factory that has been turned into a museum dedicated to Oskar Schindler’s noble deeds and recreates the tense atmosphere in Krakow under the Nazi occupation during World War II. The factory holds a permanent exhibition titled, ‘Krakow under Nazi Occupation 1939–1945’ with photographs, videos, sound recordings, eyewitness accounts and everyday objects chronologically displayed.
A guide will take you around the museum and give you a historical perspective of the artefacts that you see in the museum. The museum will transport you to those trying times under the Nazi occupation.
