Itinerary

You will be picked up from your hotel and taken on a full day sightseeing tour of New Lantau Island, a short ferry ride away from Hong Kong. You will be accompanied by an English-speaking guide on this cruise.

From the pier, you will take a fast ferry through the Hong Kong Harbour to Lantau Island. On reaching the island, you will board a coach to the beautiful Cheung Sha beach and on to the unique Tai O fishing village, where fishermen homes are built on stilts.

The coach then takes a winding road up the mountain to Ngong Ping Plateau where the Giant Buddha sits majestically close to the Po Lin Monastery. Ample time is allowed for a guided tour of the Po Lin Monastery and Giant Buddha Exhibition Hall.

A short walk away is the Wisdom Path where an ancient prayer is inscribed on a series of wooden columns set in a figure of eight to signify infinity.

A vegetarian meal is served in the Monastery, followed by optional visits to the culturally themed Ngong Ping Village.

The tour ends with a ride abroad the *Skyrail cable car to Tung Chung and back to the hotel.

The tour returns to the starting point after approximately 8 hours.
