This tour will get you up close and personal with the stunning Alhambra complex, complete with guided visits to El Generalife as well as the Nasrid Palaces. It is the perfect way to savour a taste of medieval Spanish history with its Islamic and Moorish heritage that will leave you breathless!
Our first stop is main citadel of Alhambra with marvellous setting overlooking the gorgeous Sierra Nevada. A convenient skip-the-line entry lets you avoid the touristy crowds at this very popular location, and takes a dive right into the magnetic past of this great country. Explore the splendid grounds, the grand architecture with the beautiful arabesques, the remarkably sculpted fountains and more as you weave your way across this 16th century fortress listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Next up, we will head to the private retreat for a host of Muslim kings - the pretty El Generalife, an incredible villa sitting amidst picturesque gardens, fountains, pools and an array of sculptures. The Nasrid Palaces - the seat of the Sultan’s court - is our final halt. Comprising of the Mexuar, Palace of Comares and the Palace of the Lions, the Nasrid Palaces are ravishing in every aspect.
The Alhambra complex has been described by Moorish poets as "a pearl set in emeralds", a reference to its breath taking beauty which has inspired many - including Paulo Coelho, George Bernard Shaw and many more! Believe us when we say that a trip to Spain would be incomplete without this tour!
